Dumfries and Galloway Carnival

Get ready for a weekend of colour, creativity, music and celebration as Dumfries & Galloway Carnival comes to Dumfries town centre! Taking place from 29–31 January 2027, Carnival Weekend is a brand-new winter celebration bringing the streets of Dumfries to life with live entertainment, performances, music, food and drink, family activities and spectacular illuminated installations. The highlight of the weekend is the Carnival Parade on Saturday 30 January at 5pm, when schools, community groups, performers, musicians and hundreds of local people will come together in a vibrant parade through the town centre, complete with colourful costumes, music, lights and plenty of carnival spirit. But the parade is just one part of the weekend. With activities and entertainment taking place across three days, there will be something for everyone to enjoy. Most importantly, Carnival is a celebration made by the community, for the community, bringing together local schools, artists, businesses, performers, community groups and volunteers to create something truly special for Dumfries & Galloway. 📅 29–31 January 2027 📍 Dumfries Town Centre 🎟️ Free entry
